Nathan Kelly, captured and tortured, finds himself in telepathic contact with a mysterious woman named Shea, who helps him survive and engineers his escape. Once free, Nathan finds himself unable to explain matters to his highly trained family and the top-secret, globe-trotting paramilitary organization they operate. When he takes the family jet and flies off to rescue Shea from the kidnappers chasing her, the Kelly family bond pulls in the rest of the KGI team. Banks enhances Nathan and Shea’s romantic attraction and physical intimacy with the telepathic bond, and as their relationship gets satisfyingly steamy, the action remains tense, perilous, and convincing.
