Cairns Convention Centre: A gem that celebrates its setting

An architect of distinction • Brit Andresen epitomises the ideals of a Luminary. As an architect she has made an imprint on the architectural landscape – not only through the built environment but by influencing the students she inspires as a teacher.

The passion to design • To question, disturb and redefine is the credo of Colin Seah and his practice, Ministry of Design, in Singapore. As a Luminary in 2024, Colin Seah exemplifies just what it takes to be a leader in the world of architecture and design and his talent and charm are the wayfinding tools along the pathway of his chosen profession.

Designing life • Vince Frost is a leader in the world of design, where words, images, fonts and creative skill intersect to delight and inspire us. As a Luminary this year, we pay tribute to him and his vision of design that impacts so many around the globe.

A woman of vision • Shimul Javeri Kadri is an architect and a woman of stature. As a Luminary in the 2024 INDE.Awards, she is accorded the accolades she so richly deserves that sees her as a force for great design, for women and sustainable living.

Beauty and Grace • As far as first impressions go, MESHKI’s new Sydney headquarters designed by Those Architects is nothing if not aesthetic. Its colour palette is elegantly subdued, its textures are thoughtful and refined. The beauty is, of course, what you would expect for a fashion company.
